Editorial Policy & Review Methodology
What we check before publishing
Our reviews use a consistent research checklist: the legal entity named in a client agreement; regulatory authorisation and restrictions; published account and platform specifications; spread and commission structure; financing and funding policies; support options; and the practical risks of execution and leverage.
We prefer current primary sources, such as Tickmill’s public help centre, trading conditions and applicable regulator registers. Whenever numbers are used, we aim to state the unit, time, currency, account type and jurisdiction. A minimum advertised spread should not be mistaken for an average spread or a guaranteed fill.
Comparisons and illustrations
Comparison tables distinguish published figures from assumptions. For example, a round-turn commission is the entry-side and exit-side commission added together. A hypothetical EUR/USD cost can illustrate a formula, but actual spread and pip value depend on instrument, lot size, account currency and trading conditions.
We do not assign a quality rating simply because an account has a lower headline spread; funding, platform support, regulations, execution and how often a trader transacts can change the practical choice.
Updates and corrections
We publish review dates where appropriate and revise material details when verified changes come to our attention. We avoid quietly changing historical claims or using expired promotions as if they remain available. Readers can suggest corrections in comments on the relevant article; please include a primary-source reference and never publish personal financial or identity information.
Commercial independence
The website can earn affiliate compensation; learn more in the Affiliate Disclosure. Compensation should not determine factual descriptions of account terms, risk or regulatory status. We use ordinary labels and risk warnings rather than promises of guaranteed profitability.
